March Madness: Decades STUDENT VERSION

NOTE: THIS IS THE STUDENT VERSION. Slides contain space for students to research each composer and song. They will add text boxes, pictures and information into each slide. Worksheets are for students to complete. No teacher version needed; just be aware that the students will be looking up information and completing the slides and/or worksheet pages.

Music Madness Brackets with songs from the decades from the 1920’s to the 2000’s. Two options for this lesson:

Digital Google Slides (you’ll receive the link and be prompted to make a copy)

Student Worksheets in color and B&W (make copies for your students to complete as a packet)

There is also a link included for access to the Spotify Playlist of all songs.

In addition to listening to music from different decades, students will learn about historical events, inventions (worksheet only), fashion (slides only) and facts about the artist/songs.

This is a great resource for a sub plan or to do in class as a long term project throughout the month of March (or any month you’d like!) Attach it as an assignment in your LMS or print pages off for students to complete.
